  • Landsat-5 resumes transmissions - On 18 December 2009, Landsat-5 experienced an anomaly with its image data transmitter. Thanks to the assiduous work of United States Geological Survey (USGS) personnel, Landsat-5 resumed transmissions on 7 January 2010 with a test downlink to Sioux Falls, USA.  Geoscience Australia successfully received a test downlink on 8 January 2010.
